Bartender

Bartenders will prepare and serve crafted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional guest service in a high-end, fast-paced environment. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks) according to established recipes and fine dining standards. Interact with guests, take drink orders, and provide recommendations based on preferences, maintain full knowledge of beverage menu, including wines, spirits, and cocktails, ensure proper presentation of all beverages served, verify identification of guests to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area (clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment), including washing glassware and restocking supplies, monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking and replenishment of bar items, process guest payments accurately, including cash and credit transactions, coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service, comply with all health, safety, and sanitation standards, Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. Collect money for drinks served. Balance cash receipts. Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.

Days and shift schedule may vary. Holidays, weekends, and evenings required as needed. Employer reserves the right to increase wage, rate, or bonus to any worker based on skill, tenure, performance, or experience. Increases in the hourly rate beyond the guaranteed minimum rate are directly correlated to Petitioners Points Advancement Policy whereas points are determined by correct communication, skill, and knowledge. A series of sixteen (16) extensive practical and written tests taken in English, will be testing product and service knowledge as well as speed of service. These tests are available to take over the duration of your employment. Workers must be at least 18 years of age. Employer will consider for employment any applicant who possesses at least six (6) months of experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club. Applicant must complete pre-employment background check and drug screening at the employer's expense. Applicant will also be required to complete paid on the job training and testing as well as following the Butcher Private detailed steps of service. Please note that while materials are available online for training, reviewing these training materials is not mandatory outside of work hours as on-the-job training is provided. These tests are available to take over the duration of your employment. Overtime Exemption:***** continued from F.b.9. Tipped position with a guaranteed wage: $21.48 per hour, paid bi-weekly. If the Bartender workers will be compensated through service charges, the Employer has classified this position as exempt from the overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) under its Section 207(i) overtime exemption. This means Bartender workers under this application are not eligible for overtime compensation for every hour worked over 40 in a work week so long as: (1) the regular rate of pay exceed sone and a half times the federal minimum wage for every hour worked in a workweek in which overtime hours are worked; and (2)during a three-month representative period, at least half of the total earnings consist of service charges. This exemption will remain in effect so long as the Bartender workers continue to work in the position and continue to be compensated through service charges. If either of the above requirements is not met, the Employer will pay overtime for all hours worked over forty (40) in a workweek at a rate of $32.22 per hour. Employer will provide each employee with one (1) uniform jacket at no cost to the employee. Employees are required to report to work wearing clean, serviceable black shoes, black pants, black socks, and a plain white T-shirt. These items are considered standard, everyday clothing and must be provided by the employee and expectation to be 100% compliant with the Company Grooming and Uniform Policy.
