Farmworker / Harvester

The employer is seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to assist with the harvest season (including pre and post-harvest). Workers will perform farming, harvesting and packing activities of crops such as squash, peppers, watermelon, cucumbers, eggplant and tomatoes. Duties include field preparation, planting, tying, pruning, weeding, field cleanup, irrigation setup and maintenance, harvesting, packing, other post-harvest tasks, and operating farm equipment. Duties may also include other general farm labor. Workers should follow safety and farm instructions. This job will be done under varying outdoor extreme weather conditions such as heat, high humidity, direct sunlight, cold weather, possible rain, wind, and exposure to pollen, soil, mud, dust and other natural elements. Repetitive physical conditions such as prolonged walking, standing, heavy bending, stooping, reaching and lifting will be involved on a regular basis. (Continued in Addendum C)

Workers must be dependable and punctual and have the ability to stand, bend, and work for long periods outdoors. They must pay attention to detail and quality. Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by supervisors and practice safety in all aspects of work.
