Duties
Workers will primarily be working on general production work and assembling trusses. Workers will load lumber onto a truss table at joints and fasten it with various tools, including hammers, nails, drills, screws, and the application of
glue. The worker may operate a roller to secure truss plates. After trusses are assembled, a forklift will load completed trusses, material plates, and wall panels onto trucks for transportation. Workers will lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists. The worker will load and unload items onto equipment for processing and package finished products for shipping. The worker will ensure products are in conformance with the company’s specifications. Workers will sort materials or products for processing, storing, shipping, or grading. The worker will accurately record the product’s data and pull maged or ineffective equipment off the processing line. Workers will also clean work areas and equipment.
Requirements
Must be able to lift seventy-five (75) lbs. frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to pass pre-employment, post-accident, and other random drug testing. Hours and shifts are flexible workers may be required to work night shifts. The workers will be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion, paid by the employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B.
The work schedule is as follows: 40 hours a week, divided into multiple 8-hour shifts: Day shift: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (Mon. Fri.) Night shift: 3:30 PM 12:00 AM (Sun. Thurs.) Workers will be limited to 40 hours per week; any hours worked beyond that will be considered overtime.
